Amit Sheniak
Dr. Amit Sheniak is a post-doctoral research fellow at Harvard University program for Science Technology and Society in the Kennedy School of Government, and at the Swiss Center for conflict research.
He holds a BA in political science and international relations, MA in political science and democratic studies and a PhD in Political Science, which were all earned form the Hebrew University of Jerusalem along side a civil service career, as a policy adviser and strategic planner for the Israeli ministry of defense and the IDF planning directorate.
Amit’s research investigates the social and political context, of cybersecurity policy formation and its effect on international order, sovereignty, legitimacy and nationalism in democratic and non-democratic states. Lately he was the co-organizer (together with Israel’s National Cyber Directorate) of the US-IS workshop on “Active Cyber-Defense” (April. 2017).
In 2017-18 Amit will take a postdoctoral fellowship at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Davis institute for international relations and the Truman institute for the advancement of peace.
