Dr. Katrina Ligett‏ will present a Joint work with Kobbi Nissim. They argue the need for a new model of data ownership and usage, and describe such a model, which would allow individuals to jointly create and enjoy value from their data while maintaining meaningful control of its use. They put forward a research agenda that supports the development and deployment of this model, and invite the engagement of researchers across law, technology, and the social sciences.
